Southern Taiwan, Tainan City

We traveled to Tainan city (southern part of Taiwan) the weekend after I arrived in Taiwan. I was born and raised in Taipei and had not traveled much in Taiwan when growing up. From this trip I explored  this oldest city of Taiwan. Every small road, every wall or every street corner makes a perfect postcard photo! Tainan is not just the oldest city but also gourmet capital of Taiwan! The beautiful scenic, the great food and the southern hospitility all made me fall in love with this place! Hello Seattle

After moving to the northwest for a month, we finally went to Seattle the last weekend of August, before it gets too cold and rainy!

Our trip started at the Gum Wall and the Blue Trees, two very cool artistic spots in downtown Seattle, then we stopped by the first Starbucks (est. 1971) and the Waterfront. We dined in a gastropub which had the best Asiago cheese curds I ever tried. After a great meal, we walked back to the hotel enjoying the sleepless Seattle streets...
